We’ve been covering how recent closures of ketamine clinics have left patients without crucial mental health treatments. One of the major closings was Ketamine Wellness Centers, leaving patients like veteran Adam Blazak scrambling to find care.

Well, this week we got news that Ketamine Wellness Centers might be have a renewed sign of life. Peter/PetraMD, the largest online provider of hormone therapy for men and women in the United States, has announced the intent to acquire Ketamine Wellness Centers.

It’s still just a Letter of Intent for now, and we’re not sure what will happen to the actual clinics if the deal does go through. But for patients in under-served areas, this news perhaps gives a slim sliver of hope.

Delic Holdings Corp. Signs LOI with Peter/PetraMD to Acquire Ketamine Wellness Centers and Facilitate Online Ketamine Treatments Nationwide

VANCOUVER, British Columbia–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Peter/PetraMD, the largest online provider of hormone therapy for men and women in the United States, today announced the intent to acquire Ketamine Wellness Centers. If successful, the acquisition would represent an incredible on-ramp into the ketamine space for Peter/PetraMD. With over 20 years of experience and nearly 100,000 patients across the United States, Ketamine Wellness Centers is the largest ketamine infusion therapy provider in the US and only a handful to accept most major insurances.

“We understand telemedicine, and we understand what it is our patients want—they want to feel better, they want to get better, and they want to live better lives. This acquisition would definitely further our mission to provide affordable and equitable access to healthcare across the nation”

Peter/PetraMD has said they intend to maintain continuity of care for current patients of Ketamine Wellness Centers while also seeking to expand into the national market with the knowledge and expertise provided by leadership. “I saw an incredible opportunity for Peter/PetraMD to truly expand the footprint and the success of ketamine treatment not only in our veteran population, but also at the national level,” said Dr. Bryan Henry, founder and a former combat veteran who is currently a successful ketamine patient. “This is a chance for more of our veteran community to have access to the care they desperately need,” Dr. Henry relays.

PeterMD will pay US$1.15 Million in tranches over twelve months plus the assumed existing debt to buy KWC subject to due diligence period, negotiation of a definitive agreement and US$100,000 non refundable deposit. “We understand telemedicine, and we understand what it is our patients want—they want to feel better, they want to get better, and they want to live better lives. This acquisition would definitely further our mission to provide affordable and equitable access to healthcare across the nation,” said Cutter Streeby, Chief Growth Officer.
